for  more than a month, i tried to install Adobe Flash Player

    10.1.102.64. I downloade the installer.Then shut Internet

connection and anti-virus. After agreement of software conditions,

i clicked on Install : Install seemed to work without any problem

and, after 7 seconds the installer said : install complete....

But could not find any track of the softaware : no icon, no track

in configuration panel : on the other hand, i can find an Adobe

Active X control in this panel.

I have noted that a lot of people can't install The new version.

Wher can i could find the 9 version ?

Hi, Jean, your issues are different that this thread. I can only give you some direction. Go to this thread, Post#46 for FP9info and then follow the posts thru until their issue was solved.

Hi, You didn't say what OS you are using or browsers, so I'll give you the basics.

Go here and download and SAVE to your Desktop the Uninstaller :

    http://kb2.adobe.com/cps/141/tn_14157.html

Then go here and download and SAVE to your Desktop the appropriate Installer (IE or FF) use the EXE Installer for whichever browser you use.

    http://www.adobe.com/products/flashplayer/fp_distribution3.html

You must use the Administrator Account.

    Disable AVG this way:

    Resident Shield

Open AVG User Interface. (Right Click to Open)
    Double-click on the Resident Shield.
Un-tick the option Resident Shield active.

    Save the changes.

    LinkScanner

Open AVG User Interface.(Right Click to Open)
    Double-click on the LinkScanner.
Un-tick the option Enable AVG Search-Shield and Enable Active Surf-Shield.

    Save the changes.

    Add Ons  Disable:

    AVG SafeSearch
    AVG Security Toolbar
    AVG Security Toolbar BHO

CLOSE all browsers windows. Run the Uninstaller and then Reboot(restart) your computer.

Run each Installer and then Reboot.

Re-enable your AVG Resident Shield only at this time.

Those AVG addons can conflict. The LinkScanner also. After you confirm here(test with each browser) then you can enable one of those AVG addons at a time. If one conflicts, leave it disabled. They are not needed for AVG to run, the Resident Shield is.

Link to test, you should be able to see the Flash logo animation and the version of FP is displayed.

Busy day for me here, so follow these instructions. I will be off and on the forum.

Flash Player is a browser add-on, not a standalone media player.

If you need a standalone player, e.g. to play local Flash files, download Projector from this link http://www.adobe.com/support/flashplayer/downloads.html

Note that this download is not an installer, but the projector itself.  If you need a desktop icon, you'll have to create the shortcut yourself.

    Hi

I think it is very important for you to temporary disable your  "antivirus software" before you begin the download.
