I don't know what I am doing wrong

I don't know if I am doing something wrong or if I loaded something wrong.  I have windows XP.  When I load the flash player some sites do not have a problem with it.  Some sites say I do not have the flash player installed at all and I need to install it to see there site.  Is there something else that needs to be installed other than just flash player?  If so what else needs to be installed?  I know I have enough memory.  Is it because I did not want the google toolbar installed?

Thanks a bunch

It should not have anything to do with the google toolbar. Try going here and seeing if you have the latest player: http://kb.adobe.com/selfservice/viewContent.do?externalId=tn_15507 Some sites do have detection scripts that are old and also done incorrectly to where it does not allow newer version of flash to show. So it could also be the detection script on some of the sites you are going to.

    Hope that helps.

What browser and version are you using?

What version of Flash Player are you using? (Check it at http://www.adobe.com/software/flash/about/).
