I originally posted this in my one and only thread, but i wanted this to get out to you guys who are in the same position i was.  Download Flashplayer but still couldn't view videos.  Past 2 weeks i tried everything suggestion posted under this forum regarding flashplayers. this is what i did.

1.  i did the "kill-bit'' registry thingy.  you can find it in one of the posts in this forum.  its scary for non techie like me, but i wrote directions down and did it step by step.  however...this did not fix my flash player issue.

2.  i downloaded ESET virus software, you can get one free for 30 days (i am prolly buying mine after this episode).  they will email you the download.  i scanned my computer and the program found 4 files that were corrupt and fixed them.  All 4 were java script.  Rebooted and unfreakinbelievable...the video popped up.

for those of you wondering why i posted the "kill-bit" step if is did not work...i included it because the kill bit was in my registry and i wanted it gone.  if it's suppose not be there..then why have it there.

good luck to you all

The kill-bit thing worked for me.  Thanks for posting.

Because some malware has placed it there.

Here is a post that explains how to easily remove the "kill-bit" from the registry (see the download link in the last line):
