I have an outdated Adobe Flash Player and a newer one. Should I delete the older one as Firefox does not like the outdated one.

Error message from Firefox that: " they are preventing outdated Adobe Flash from running". I have both Adobe Flash player 10 and 10.0.12 as the newest one. Have Firefox and run on windows Vista. And can I safely remove the old one with out causing problem with the newer version?
