I have installed Flash 11 and confirmed it's installation. Get error when launching videos. Help!

I have installed Flash Player 11 and confirmed it's installation via  Control Panel "Programs". Yet, when attempting to launch videos I get "You need to have Adobe Flash Player 9 to view this content" message. Help!

May be you have missed some plug in . install flash 9 and then check .

Flash Player 11.x is backwards compatible with FP9; there is no need to install an old FP version.

My browser is IE and the version installed is ActiveX.
