I have the latest Flash Player downloaded. I still get messages to down load. Why?.

I try to watch shows on CBS television, and certain other  videos on facebook downloaded by friends. I have the lates Flash Player on my system. Adobe verifies the upgrade. Why  cannot I not view certain videos, or CBS television?
