I have Win 10, using Chrome and it says Adobe Flash Player is not installed.

I am trying to use Cricut Design Space and it keeps saying that the Flash Player is not installed. It shows on the Control Panel as a Program, but I cannot get the Cricut site to acknowledge it and work. I've tried downloading it again and it shows on the Control Panel, but not on the Download List. What do I need to do?

I don't know what the system requirements are for Cricut Design Space and looking on the cricut.com website also doesn't reveal this information

Google embeds Flash Player in Chrome and all updates are distributed by Google, as such there is no separate installer to install Flash Player on Chrome.  The Chromes version of Flash Player also does not show up in Control Panel > All Control Panel Items > Programs and Features, so whatever version of Flash Player that is showing in Control Panel > All Control Panel Items > Programs and Features is most likely for Firefox (Microsoft also embeds Flash Player in IE and Edge browser and that version also doesn't show up in the Control Panel).  If you provide the entire name that displays I can tell which browser that version is for.

Please do the following:

  1. Launch Chrome and navigate to https://helpx.adobe.com/flash-player.html
  2. Click the 'Check Now' button
  3. Take a screenshot of the system information (see How to post a screenshot in the forum) and post the screenshot
  4. If the widget states Flash Player is not enabled go to https://helpx.adobe.com/flash-player/kb/enabling-flash-player-chrome.html‌ and follow the instructions to enable Flash Player in Chrome.

If the test on the https://helpx.adobe.com/flash-player.html‌ indicates Flash Player is enabled and Cricut Design Space is still not working it's possible that it is not supported on Chrome.  In this case, I would recommend contacting the makers of Cricut Design Space to find out what their system (operating system/browser) requirements are.

This is what it says....I've tried it in Chrome and Internet Explorer. I used this a couple of weeks ago and it worked fine. Now it won't.

Hi,

Based on the screenshot, Flash Player is enabled in the Chrome.  Since Cricut Design Space is not detecting it, the issue is with Cricut Design Space and not Chrome/Flash Player.

You can use the same page to check the status of Flash Player on IE.  If you get the same results in IE, it's also enabled and should be working fine.  If the results indicate Flash Player is not enabled, see this tech note for assistance: https://helpx.adobe.com/flash-player/kb/flash-player-issues-windows-10-ie.html
