I install,but nothing shows

I have installed FlashPlayer, but get a message whenever I access Firefox. It says "cannot find GetPlusPlus_Adobe.reg.exe" This first occurred as I recall, after I updated from a previous edition (all on a brand new computer) There was a power outage during the update and apparently this component was not installed. I uninstalled and at least tried to reinstall, but to no avail. Adobe and its online service are not helpful.

Does anyone else know what is going on and have suggestions?

I am having the same problem, except I don't get an error message. All I get is a window that says I need Flash installed. I have tried everything Adobe suggested on their support page. I see it in my change/remove list, but no data with it. I am tired of installing and reinstalling to get the same problem.

Hi Ken, Many users are having problems, but we really do need individual threads:-) Please start a thread and it will be better for you and those that try to help. It doesn't take very long when more than one person is on a thread for it to be confusing.

Hi, You will need to post back your operating system and whether it is a 64bit. Also what version of Flash Player did you Install. What version of Internet Explorer do you use and which version of Firefox.

Do you know which site you Installed Flash Player from? Not real important, but helpful. If you don't remember, that's ok.

    Thanks,

    Thanks for your response:

OS is Win-7/64 bit (New computer in March)

IE (Which I do not use) is 8.0.7600 It came with the machine.

    Firefox is the latest (10)

The most recent Flash Player has just (a few days ago) been "installed"

(at least, I've gone through the routine a dozen times) I do not however

find a listing under "all programs" for it, although it is on the list

(w/o size) of those which may be uninstalled. I get the feeling that

Adobe download manager did not install it.

I'll put this data on the forum this evening (it is dinner time and my

    wife is calling.)

    Thanks again.

Hi, thanks. Just to be sure that you are aware that you must use the 32bit browser for Flash Player. This is the default browser. Adobe Flash Player does not support the 64bit.

Did you Install Flash Player using IE or just Firefox?

When you get back later, post back this info. Go to Programs and Features and see if a DLM (download manager) is listed and or a getPlus.

Using FF(Firefox) check for an SWF version 10.0.45.2 listed and it is Enabled. If any other version is listed, I need to know that also.

Also check and see if there is any plug-in, extension or add on of any getplus entries.

Then go to C:\Windows\SysWOW64\Macromed\Flash.  Right click on Flash and Open the folder. Post back all files listed with their version numbers. The files NPSWF that are listed, you will need to right click on and then click on Properties in order to obtain the version numbers. In case you need directions to find the Flash folder, just tell me.

    Thanks,
