I keep hearing a static noise whenever I use Flash in Chrome on Windows.

Question

I tested several headphones and my laptop's internal speakers to make sure it wasn't a hardware issue, and I can listen to any other audio on my laptop just fine, but whenever I visit a website that uses Flash (Pandora, for example), I keep hearing static whenever there's audio.

I'm using Windows 7, Chrome version 49.0.2593.0 dev-m (64-bit), and Adobe Flash Player - Version: 20.0.0.267, Shockwave Flash 20.0 r0.

Same problem here. Using Chrome on Mac, and crackly sound persists while using latest version of flash.

In previous years, you could simply disable Chrome's own internal and "seamless" version, Pepper (PPAPI), and use the system plugin used on other browsers on your computer. Now that Google has disallowed the system plugin being able to work in Chrome, there is no apparent solution.

Adobe, let us know how to fix this!
