Question

I'm using a MacBook Pro, Chrome Browser and latest FP download. When a FP video is on the video works fine. I just can't get the Closed Captions to work. The 'CC' box shows it's 'OFF'. Clicking on the OFF doesn't turn it ON. What am I doing wron

This is the first time I've used this forum so I'm probably not doing it right, but here goes anyway.  I'm using a MacBook Pro, with Chrome Browser and the latest Flash Player download.  When I have a Flash Player video on the video works fine.  I just can't get the Closed Captions to work.  I've tried the 'CC' box and it says it's 'OFF'.  If I click on the 'OFF' I can't get it to turn on.  Any ideas what I'm doing wrong?  Thanks   Howard

If you want to provide a link to a video that reproduces the problem, I'd be happy to take a look.  Otherwise, I'm just guessing.

That said, Flash Player isn't a video player.  We just process code written in ActionScript and render stuff to the screen.  The video player that you're interacting with is built (or bought) by the content developer, so there's not really a closed-caption feature in Flash itself.  My guess is that not all content on the provider's site offers captioning.
