I am 80 years old & suffer from end stage cancer. I do not know what Adobe flash player I have or how to fine it. Nothing opens & nothing works.

Unfortunately, Adobe does not provide direct technical support for the products that it offers free of charge.  We offer these user-to-user forums for free, and the staff that respond here do so as a courtesy, mostly in our downtime.

If the forums aren't adequate to meet your needs, that's totally understandable.  My recommendation would be to contract a local, reputable computer technician to help resolve this problem.  Flash Player is widely used, and will be familiar to any reasonably skilled technician.  Many offer mobile services and will come directly to you for a reasonable fee.

If your technician runs into a true mystery that isn't solvable by a cursory google search, they're more than welcome to send me a direct message, by clicking my name here, or posting in this thread for additional assistance, and we'll do our best to help.

Thanks!

Seems like a "moderator" has contacted her with an offer of call support. If a Staff member can get her email, you might contact her personally and find out what is going on.  This does not look good.

In order to provide assistance, please provide the following information:

  • Operating system version
  • Web browser and version
  • Flash Player version
  • Explain your problem in step-by-step detail if possible
  • A direct link to a web page that demonstrates the problem
  • If you get error messages, please provide a screenshot

I am willing to pay for phone help. The moderator said it has been approved, but does not give me any details regarding costs, etc.

Warning:

We have received a number of reports where some members of this community are posing as Adobe Employees by offering to help troubleshoot issues personally using technologies such as Skype as a means to gain access to your computer and potentially your personal information.  All Adobe employees are required to have a red ‘STAFF’ badge below their profile picture, as well as an Adobe logo after their username. You can also see both the 'STAFF' badge and Adobe logo if you mouse-over their profile picture.

I understand your predicament, but be careful.
