I have a Diminsion 3000 Windows XP version 2002 SP2 desktop. There are a total of 5 users for this computer including the guest profile which is in regular use by another user, I am the administrator for this computer. Recently I created another profile for myself because I read that it was better to have another profile for personal transactions to prevent identity and password theft. I temporarily made this account an administrator to install flash player so I would be able to access certain apps on Facebook. this made 6 users. Well, flashplayer installed allright and even the other users who didn't have it got it but the system got super slow so I deleted the sixth account (mine) then deleted flash player using the add/delete from the control panel. I attempted to reinstall flash player but installation failed. I then read the only way to uninstall was with flashpalyer uninstall downloader, so I used the downloaded uninstaller, followed the instructions and downloaded the flash player installer. Each time I try to install the message close download manager appears and no flash player installs. Can someone help me?

Open this article http://kb2.adobe.com/cps/191/tn_19166.html; go to section 5 and download the appropriate offline installer(s) for your web browser(s).  These offline installers do not use the download manager, so you should not get this problem while installing.

Are you still installing this as an Administrator user?
