Question

If I install a newer version of Shockwave Flash, do I need to disable the previous one I was using?

At work we use a calendar system that requires flash. My previous shockwave flash (comes with the desktop pc I purchased) was the Shockwave Flash 10.3.181.22

Following my superior's advise, I install the newer version, Shockwave Flash 11.6.0.626

I can't really tell the difference, but I'm content I have it installed.

I'm using Mozilla, and when I go to Tools --> Add-ons, I see both Shockwave Flash versions ENABLED. Do I have to disable the older version in order for the newer one to function properly, or do I just let them both be enabled as it is now?

Thanks for helping

Hi, You have Shockwave Player Shockwave Flash 11.6.0.626 which you have listed. Don't disturb that.

Adobe Flash Player is the browser plugin which you want to update. The latest version for that is 10.3.181.26 which was just released on 6/14/11.

    You can update here:

    http://www.adobe.com/products/flashplayer/fp_distribution3.html

Use the EXE Installer for the plugin based browsers

    Hope that helps,

    Thanks,
