Input Lag In Flash Games
I am running Windows 10 64 bit with Firefox, and using Flash Player version 23 beta currently, but this issue extends to Flash Player 22 where I first experienced the lag.
I have been experiencing lag on this Flash site for a long time now: Fast Aiming. Gamers training. Computers and notebooks for gamers.
The scores registering are lagged. I learned of this when I did a fresh install of Windows 7 a few months ago. Where I was averaging 200 points, I began averaging 600+. That's a tremendous leap. I was hovering around 4,000-5,000 points, give or take a grand, but began reaching 10,000 points very easily with the fresh install.
After awhile, I began experiencing the lag on Windows 7 as well. I'm not sure what changed. I should also note that I did a fresh install of Windows 7 where I updated Windows and the lag was immediately present. When it was working I disabled Windows updates. Windows 10 produces the lag with a fresh install and updates disabled.
What's more interesting is that I did a fresh install of Windows 7 on my Toshiba Laptop, which has an i7, and the lag was present with a fresh install on that device. So, it is not only my computer.
I've cleared the Flash caches, have hardware acceleration enabled, and have turned off protection mode. I have tried this on all browsers from Explorer, to Opera, to Safari, and they are all the same. I have a high-end PC: an i7 4790K, GTX 980ti, 16 gb of ram, and a BenQ gaming monitor.
I am completely stumped at this point as I feel I have tried everything.
Here is an example of how dramatic the scores are between Windows 7 and Windows 10 on my PC:

You can see in the first example where the increase is very gradual. Where it spikes is where I installed Windows 7. It also demonstrates that I hit the target 32 times with a score of 17000. The second picture is from a recent fresh install of Windows 10. I hit the target more times and only got a score of 4,000 or so. Over 10,000 points difference. That's huge!
Any counseling you can offer on this issue would be greatly appreciated.
Thanks.
