install_flash_player_24_active_x.exe (version 24.0.0.221) not uninstalling previous version

Hi

Is anyone else experiencing this?

If you install the new flash player using the executable installer, "install_flash_player_24_active_x.exe" (for version 24.0.0.221), it does not remove the previous version of 24.0.0.194 from Programs and Features. I'm pretty sure the old version has been upgraded, but just not removed from control panel. Maybe a bug...

Thanks,

DM

    Hi D_M_K1 ,

You'll need to uninstall the previous version using the standalone uninstaller posted at Uninstall Flash Player for Windows.  Once you have reproducible steps, post them here (alternatively you can file a bug at Tracker and post the link to the bug record here) and the issue will be investigated further.

    Thanks Maria.

All good. It was an issue with the custom transforms from previous version.

You might want to delete this thread if you want as to not confuse others, as the problem only applies to me.

    Thanks, DM.

    Hi,

We are unable to reproduce the issue at our end. Could you try refreshing the Program and Feature window once you have installed 24.0.0.221. If you still see the same issue please provide us a screenshot of the same.

    Thanks!

    Hi Ridhijain

Im not sure how the previous version was installed, whether it was via MSI or EXE.

Is there anyway i can reinstall the previous version of the flash player? It does not allow me to reinstall, hence making it hard to test.

I am slowly running out of test machines, which has the previous version installed.

    Thanks, DM.
