Install successful finally!

mac OSX + Yosemite + Flash 17

issue: Install freeze at 30 pct, for hours with no error message

steps taken: downloaded the uninstaller and removed flash from my system, attempted this procedure several times. 

solution (per previous poster, THANK YOU!): disable Avast antivirus, at 85% you are asked to close Safari.  Success.
