Installation could not complete :(

I have previously managed to install Adobe Flash on my Windows XP and Firefox 42.0 but after numerous tries following the steps, I could not complete download at around 79%.

Here's a screenshot of what I see.

Upon clicking "Finish", I still cannot pinpoint the problem. Experts, please guide me along.

Just to be explicit about the service pack requirement, you'll need to run at least WinXP Service Pack 3, but you should really seriously consider moving to Win7 or Win10 if it's at all possible.

Hi jackn9434671,

What SP version do you have installed on your XP system?  This may be due to SSL support on older XP systems.  We can verify by viewing the install log files.  Please review Where do I find the Flash Player installation log on Windows? FAQ and provide the FlashInstall.log file and the Adobe_ADM.log file, using the instructions How to share a document or a file sharing service of your choice.  Post the link to the uploaded files in your reply.

In the mean time, you can use the offline installer posted at the bottom of the Installation problems | Flash Player | Windows page in the 'Still having problems' section.  Please do post the log files so that we can attempt to determine the cause of failure.

Thank you.
