Question

Installation update flashplayer - Zugriff auf cmd.exe

Hallo,

Windows 8.1

Firefox 56.0

noch installiert: shockwave flash 27.0

Adobe

Änderungen an Systemdateien weiterhin blockiert.

Hi,

The Flash Player installer does call cmd.exe when it runs the command to uninstall the version currently installed, prior to installing the new version.  The comment you made about blocking changes to the system files is kind of odd as an installer, by default, will make file system changes.

The file you have used, flashplayer_27_plugin_debug.exe, is the content debugger, used by Flash developers to debug their code.  If your not a developer debugging your code, using this version will give you a pretty awful user experience as it'll throw a lot of errors.

Highly recommend using the non-debug version downloaded from get.adobe.com/flashplayer, and allow access to cmd.exe and modifying file system while installing.

Firefox like other major browser vendors, does block Flash by default and you'll need to enable it to view Flash content, for most every site.  There should be a lego piece, on the left side of the address field, to click to enable Flash.  See Flash Activation: Browser Comparison - Plugins | MDN for more information.
