Installing different version of Adobe Flash

Hi guys,

I use Google Chrome on a Macbook, and I've been trying to install Adobe Flash Player. Chrome automatically comes with a version of Flash Player called Pepper Flash, but, although it is debatably more reliable, it simply does not work as well or as quickly as I need it to, hence why I tried to download a different version of Flash. However, despite disabling Pepper Flash, installing Adobe Flash, and restarting both my browser and my computer several times, I have been unable to get Chrome to so much as recognise Adobe Flash, let alone use it in preference to Pepper Flash. Anyone have any advice?
