Installing Flash Player (or not)

I'm a user of Win8 64-bit system. A website answered "You're not using the proper Flash Player version". So I tried to install it, but being not successful, I deinstalled the old version and tried reinstalling Flash Player. I tried to follow all Adobe help texts related to this installation, but without success. I need Flash Player. What can I do?

Then, perform a "clean install"
