Question

"Insufficient permissions"

I'm using 64 bit Windows 7, I tried to download it on both Firefox  and Google Chrome, I used the uninstaller on this site so I shouldn't  have any current Flash installed.

When I go to try  and install the new flash 10.1, it tells me....

"A required file (C:\Windows\SysWOW64\Macromed\Flash\NPSWF32.dll:5) could not be written due to insufficient permissions."

Help?

PS: I'm not entirely sure if I'm in the right forum, if not then I apologise and can you link me to the correct one?

See my post from today - load it in safe mode.   Press the F8 key while re-starting.

    Worked for me.  Win7/64

    you could try...

if you have an administration login:

    1. download the flash player installer

    2. right-click the file and select "Run as Administrator" in the context menu

    hope that helps.
