Hello!

We want to inquire about the Adobe Flash Player End of Life.

we have set of interactive courses built using Flash technology some of the interactivity features are Quizes/Questions and Answers inside the courses

our inquire is:

  1. What is the new recommended technology that we should use to build those type of courses?
  2. How to convert our current existing courses directly without rebuilding them?
  3. What exactly will happen on the 31 of December 2020 will it be impossible for us to access those courses or will there be any kind of special way to access the courses?

Thank you in advance for your support!

For completeness, the following documents should clear up any confusion about what will happen and what your options are:

What did you originally build the courses with?  If you used something like Adobe Captivate and you have the original source files, you can probably just republish them directly to HTML5/JavaScript with a current product version.

There are no exceptions for education, when Flash is shut down for everyone.

What app did you use to make your courses? PERHAPS you can use the same app to export a different format. Otherwise, you will need to start again.

At the end of the year, OR BEFORE(*), Flash Player will stop working for all the main browsers. Flash Player itself will refuse to run. Some people with frozen, museum, systems, who are prepared to take the risk, may find it still runs for them.

(*) this has already happened for Mac users using Safari, the default browser, this week. There has been 3 years to do this work, and we are now in the final days, where anything might be closed down early.
