Invalid argument

OS X 10.11.5. Hello, I have recently been dealing with this issue while trying to install Firefox and Adobe Flash. I've asking the Apple people if they have a solution. We've tried some things but to no avail so far. So I thought I would try Adobe. In regards to Flash- I downloaded the .dmg file, clicked on it and got Invalid argument pop-up. We just haven't been able to figure it out. Any ideas?

I'm not aware of a widespread issue that results in these symptoms, and it's been a couple weeks since we've released an update.  We definitely would've seen it at this point if it was something that we broke recently.

I'd start with the the installation troubleshooting guide:

    https://helpx.adobe.com/flash-player/kb/installation-problems-flash-player-mac.html

In particular, taking a couple minutes to collecting and post the logs should help us figure out what's failing in this scenario, and should inform us about whether or not it's something that we can handle at install time in future releases.

There are also links to an alternate set of installers at the bottom of the guide, which should get you going, but we'd really appreciate if you could share the logs before you do that installation.
