Question

Is Flash Player 10 supported on IE 8?

I have seen in the System requirements, it stated that the FP10 is supported on IE 7 or later. http://www.adobe.com/products/flashplayer/systemreqs/

I question that it includes IE 8 or not. Anyone ever did test FP10 on IE8 before? What's the test result? My current FP version is FP is Flash Player 10 v.10.0.22.87 running on IE 7.

I was growing tired of hearing this question, so I checked in with management and wrote a technote about the topic.. Generally IE8 is fine, but as with any new release there could be issues, so this doc covers how you'll deal with those:

"Flash Player 10 and Internet Explorer 8"

"IE 7 or later" - there is currently only one later version: that is IE 8.  It is formulated that way to indicate that IE 7 is the minimum version requirement.

I have run FP 10 on IE 8 since [IE 8] was officially released; no problems whatsoever.
