Question

Is the "Install Now" link broken?

Hi,

I've received notification that I should upgrade my Flash version. When I attempt to do so at this page:

http://get.adobe.com/flashplayer/

When I click on the "Install Now" button on the lower right, it simply redirects me to this page:

http://www.adobe.com/

No download is attempted. The link presented when I hover over the "Install Now" button is the adobe home page, not a link to a download page, file, etc.

Thus, I am unable to obtain the new version of Flash.

I do use flashblock, adblock and noscript - I've tried the download with all of those disabled and have the same unsuccessful result of just being redirected to the main home page.

In case you haven't already sniffed the details, my browser is Firefox 25.0.1. I've had this problem on both Windows 7 and Mac OS X 10.8.5.

Thanks.

Download the Adobe Flash Player installer directly by right clicking the following links and selecting "Save Link as".

Flash Player Uninstaller

Flash Player Plug-in (All other browsers)

Flash Player (Mac OS X)

Windows:

Save the files to your Downloads folder - DO NOT run anything yet.

Reboot your system.

BEFORE opening anything, go to the Downloads folder and run the UNINSTALLER to remove all instances of Flash Player.

Next, run the  (other browsers) Installer.

Mac: Make sure your browser is QUIT (not jusat closed), and run the installer. If you use MenuTab (Facebook Menubar item) you'll need to terminate it in the Activity Monitor as well before installing.
