is there a workaround if I can't install a higher version of adobe because my os version is too old and my computer is too old to support a newer os version

Flash Player is available for Old systems Like windows XP . As long as you are working with this OLD version of OS we Flash Player is supported.

Moreover Google Chrome comes in with built in flash player , so even if you are using old version of OS Google chrome will provide you flash Player.
