Keep getting Integrity check error

Help!!  Half way through the installation by the Download Manager, I kept getting "The download did not pass the integrity check (16290.304.428)" error, thus I can't get the Player downloaded correctly.

I just formatted my harddrive and re-installed Windows XP Professional with sevice pack 2.   Computer has no other software besides IE6 & XP.

I am also having trouble download or execute any kind of download, "UNKNOWN PUBLISHER" showed up everywhere, even on download .NET Framework and Windows Installers and IE 7 or 8.  I am talking about Microsoft as an unknown publisher, this is just beyond my understanding.  I changed IE6's security settings to allow unknown to run and increased my buffer and virtual memory to the maximum allowed.  Still nothing works.

All manually downloaded drivers/upgrades including Flash Driver got the same error, "File is corrupted".

Any advice on where I should go would be greatly appreciated!!!

All I can do is point you to the download page with executable installers (no download manager): http://www.adobe.com/products/flashplayer/fp_distribution3.html

Save the installer to disk, then close all browser windows and run the downloaded installer.
