Latest Flash not downloading audio files?

I recently had to "repair" my Windows XP.  I then downloaded the latest Flash player on Explorer 8 and Firefox.  It is recognizing the correct files, but when I download a music sample (like on Amazon), the download never completes.  I have checked all the things Adobe says to check, but still no luck.
