Question

Latest Flash not working in any browser

I have serious problems with not-working flash.

Windows 10 home up to date

Opera, Firefox, Chrome, up to date.

Untill shortly Flash worked fine, but now nothing works Used on the site elvenar.com. Support there says: no complaints known

When the message "activate" appears, the button leads to Adobe to download. So I did for every browser. Every time the installation ends without error messages.  But in the browsers flash does not work. In the browser you can see for the site elvenar that flash should be allowed always.

Another attempt:

Ubuntu 16.04 up to date

Chromium up to date: not working either.

This is going to be a browser issue, not Flash issue.

All the browsers you mention disable Flash by default and force users to enable Flash.  Each implementation is different, so what may work on one browser may not work in a different browser.

Opera and Chrome are both Chromium-based and use the PPAPI plugin.  Latest version of Opera has implemented many of the same 'click-to-play' features as Chrome.  You may need to increase the site-engagement score for the site you are attempting to view for Flash to launch.  See Flash Roadmap - The Chromium Projects, Site Engagement - The Chromium Projects , and Google Groups for assistance.

Firefox uses the NPAPI plugin.  See Why do I have to click to activate plugins? | Firefox Help for assistance.

If you continue to experience issues attempting to enable Flash on these browsers, please contact the browser vendor for assistance.

I understand that this is a Browser problem & not Adobe problem.  I do not understand anything else in your reply.

I use both Opera (default) and Chrome browsers. I understand that both are Chromium-based browsers. I no longer use Firefox, but I have BOTH PPAPI & NPAPI plugins installed.  I'm having MAJOR ISSUES with freezing & plugin not even detected when using Opera.

I'VE LOOKED AT ALL THE LINKS YOU LISTED, AND I HAVE NO IDEA WHAT THEY MEAN OR WHAT I SHOULD DO TO CORRECT MY ISSUES!

Can you PLEASE EXPLAIN?? THANK YOU!

If you're not using Firefox, there is no need to have the NPAPI plugin installed.

Opera changed how it loads Flash Player - forcing users to enable it per site, this is consistent with existing Chrome behaviour.  How Flash is enabled on a site depends on how that site is coded.  See my reply to this post Flash player with Opera
