Latest Flash Player won't work, can't install older version

I recently installed the latest version of Flash Player (11.602, etc.) for my Firefox browser, and now i can't watch any videos online. Instead of a video it just shows a blank white square and right-clicking doesn't do anything. I went through all the steps i could find on the adobe website to fix it but nothing changes. I tried installing an older version of Flash Player (10.3), and a screen pops up saying i can't download it because it's not the latest version, and directs me to the website where you download 11.602. Please let me know what i need to do, thanks.

What is your operating system & version?

Did you uninstall the new 11.6 player before installing the older one?

Try running the uninstaller from http://helpx.adobe.com/flash-player/kb/uninstall-flash-player-windows.html

Next make sure that no files are left in C:\Windows\system32\Macromed\Flash and C:\Windows\syswow64\Macromed\Flash (except mms.cfg - you don't need to delete that).

Finally download and run the latest 10.3 installer from http://fpdownload.macromedia.com/get/flashplayer/current/licensing/win/install_flash_player_10_active_x.exe
