Leapfrog connect

I am having trouble installing leapfrog connect. It loads and says i need to install adobe but adobe is integrated in my browser.  I have an hp envy,  ie8,  windows 8 and when i try to install other flash players i hit save and run and a adobe screen pops up blank and nothing happens
