live streaming of TV

I'm currently running Windows 7. My browser is Firefox version 51.0.1 and have Adobe Flash 24.0.0.194 installed.

The computer is used for streaming TV programs from the UK

At present I can replay BBC programs using the BBC Iplayer, but whenever I go to live streaming I get a message saying "this content isn't working".

However I can go to the ITV channel with stream live TV without any problem.

Previously, before 24.0.0.194 was installed I had no problems with any of the channels.

I have removed 24.0.0.194 (with windows uninstaller) and the problem withe BBC cleared up, but the ITV channels demanded an up to date version of Adobe and would not run at all.

Today I have attempted a clean install of 24.0.0.194 using Adobe Uninstaller and as far as I can determine removed every trace of Flash Player, then restarted the computer and reinstalled Flash, and gone back to square one BBC works ITV doesn't.

I'm wondering if it's related to a stale cookie or something.  The video authorization and distribution ecosystem is complex and proprietary to the specific content provider.

You can probably figure this out easily by simply trying to access those services using your browser's Private Browsing or Incognito mode.  If the service works there, then just clear your browser's cache and cookies, and you'll probably be good to go.  If not, it's possible that there's a temporary problem with the content provider.  I'm not aware of a widespread problem with Flash Player and the BBC (who are generally very vocal when we do accidentally break their content, and look at our beta releases).
