Mac 10.6 Safari or Chrome, unable to play Youtube videos, error message pops up

Youtube vids load but will not play. Have changed all the speed settings etc, on cabel and checked speed and that's not an issue. Vimeo and others will play consistley but nothing on youtube. Get error message that says"unable to play video, please try again". I know someone has the solution to this. Thank-you in advance.

    Usually that error message occurs in two situations.

    1. Your connection is too slow for the video to buffer.

    2. Your browser cache is too full for the video to buffer.

    You indicate you check the the speed, so you most likely need to clear your browser cache

    Is your firewall enabled or do you run an app called "Little Snitch"?
