MAC Firefox in use. FPlayer current and verified. How to stop update popups?

Using Mac with browser Firefox. The Flash Player is verified current 26,0,0,131 as of Jun 19, 2017. Over the last day or two continue to get popups for update. How do I stop that?

There is no Macromedia file in library/application support/

BTW We always go to Adobe Flash website to download (never through a popup).

Please send specific instructions to correct this recurring popup. Thank you.

    The reason the update notification keeps displaying is because the PPAPI plugin (used by Chromium-based browsers, such as Opera) is out-dated (by at least 3 releases).  If you don't use a Chromium-based browser you can uninstall it.  If you use a Chromium-based browser please update it to the latest version.


    Note that at this time, there is no way to uninstall only the PPAPI plugin.  Running the uninstaller will uninstall both the PPAPI plugin and the NPAPI plugin (used by Safari and Firefox) and you'll need to re-install the NPAPI plugin afterwards.

    Hi,

    Flash Player plugin is not saved to the library/application support/ directory.  It is a browser plugin, and thus saved at /Library/Internet Plug-ins.

    Please do the following:

    • Go to System Preferences > Flash Player > Update tab
    • Post a screenshot of the Updates tab

    Thank you for the clarification about the location of the preferences.

    There have been no further update alert popups since posting the ticket. The update popup occurred three four times over two days after updating.

    Attached is the requested screenshot.
