I am an educator who needs the flash. I have uninstalled and installed FP9 on WinXP. No Help. Keep getting the same message when children run programs. "Macromedia Projector has encountered a problem and will shut down program". Can anyone help me! Any ideas at all???

the projector is by "macromedia" or that's what the message says. If it's not part of the flash player, who do i look to for help? any suggestions?

Well there might not be much you can do. For general advise you could post to the Director forum.

Actually that makes me think of something that I might have missed There -are- projectors that can be made by Flash. The situation is similar. They're standalone exe's that you can't really troubleshoot because they're self-contained..

If you right-click on the projector EXE, then click on the Version tab, what information does it give you?
    It IS an EXE, right?

This doesn't make any sense. A 'Projector' is an executable file that was created using Macromedia Director.

It is a standalone application and while it can have the ability to consume Flash content, it has nothing to do with Flash Player.

Generally the first option for resolving problems with a projector is to contact the developer of the projector. They've done something wrong...

Or you could repost to the Director forum, there might be some assistance there. But I don't think there's much we can offer from a Flash Player perspective.
