May 2012 Version 11.2.202.235 Works Very Well But the Latest Version Will Not Work

New version 11.5.502.135 will not work on my Windows 7 system where I have Firefox version 15.0.1. YouTube Videos will not play and on many other sites a player does not appear at all when 11.5.502.135 is installed. I have spent at least 6 hours in the last month trying repeatedly to get the new version to work but I have to keep uninstalling the new version and reinstalling the old version 11.2.202.235.

I have not tested any versions after 11.2.202.235 but before the latest version 11.5.502.135.

Does anyone have any idea, is this a problem that is going to go away when an even newer version is released (for example, when the first 12..... version is released? Or is this going to continue unless I reinstall the whole operating system?

Also, does anyone know any tricks to try to get the newest Flash player to work?

YouTube videos will not play and on many other sites a player does not appear at all when 11.5.502.135 is installed. On YouTube you see a player but the video itself does not play. The YouTube error message, which appears inside the player, is something like "There has been an error".

Hello, first update Firefox to v17.0.1 (or in the next days v18) please.

Are your drivers and DirectX up to date (very important) ?

Do you have tried to disable Flash Player Protected Mode (since v11.3) ? (that could explain why it is working with Flash Player v11.2)

Do you have tried to disable Hardware Acceleration (Flash Player or/and Firefox) ?

Do you have tried to disable all other extensions and plugins in Firefox ?

Do you have tried to use the Firefox safe mode ?

Do you have tried to disable your antivirus / firewall programm ?

What exactly does "not work" mean; what do you see instead of the expected Flash content?
