McAfee safe connect via Adobe

Hello, Adobe flash player installed McAfee safe connect without my notice. I wonder how it was enabled? I never launched McAfee explicitly to enable it since I was not aware of its existence. Is it enabled through some browser pop up window? If so, in what cases, the browser will pop it up and what kind of messages will be displayed? Thanks
