Microsoft Lifecam HD-3000 webcam doesn't work but only in Microsoft Edge

Hello all,I have a Microsoft LifeCam HD-3000 webcam that I use to work online. I'm running Windows 10 64-bit on an HP Pavilion 23 All-in-One PC. I would like to use Microsoft Edge for my work, but my webcam won't capture video in Edge. My built-in camera works fine in Edge, but the quality is poor. My LifeCam works fine in Chrome and IE. Any ideas why it won't work in Edge? I have the latest drivers for the camera, the latest Flash update, I deleted all of the Flash browsing data and settings, and deleted the Flash cache. My webcam does show up as an option in the Flash settings menu in Edge, but no video appears.

I'm pretty sure I saw this same question a week or two ago, but I can't find it now.

Flash Player asks the Windows DirectX subsystem for a list of cameras. If we get it, we'll show it. I'm pretty sure that this specific camera came up, and that it's not listed if you run the DirectX diagnostic tool (directx).

It's an older camera, and I don't believe that there are explicit Win10 drivers available. There's some advice on the Microsoft forums that might get it working, but it doesn't look super promising. If not, you'll probably need to pick up a newer webcam with Win10 support, or talk to Microsoft's hardware support folks to see if they have any suggestions. It's probably easier to just pick up a new camera. Even the commodity webcams are pretty nice at this point. If you *do* get a successful resolution, I'd like to know about it for future people.
