"Movie not loaded..." on Flash player 12.0.0.44, all browsers, Win7 64-bit

Movies do not play at all anymore (e.g. YouTube), when right-clicking on the black screen I get the information "Movie not loaded...", Flash player 12.0.0.44.

This happens on all my browsers (IE, Firefox, Chrome), Win7 64-bit. I've done all the steps on the support pages (clearing cache, deleting folders, diabling hardware acceleration), to no avail. Also read all the related discussion threads. Could anybody please help?

Same here! But it's just fixed for me! Hopefully for all you guys!

Well I'll be...! Same here, suddenly everything works again. And this without any further changes to my system. The Flash version is still the same. Now I strongly doubt that suddenly all websites applied some changes at the same time to make this work. Is this a case of the Flash installation being remotely controlled? Bottom line, the answer is 42.

"https" is a secure connection, so you're probably logged into your Google or YouTube account when you see it.

"http" would be just a plain connection. That shouldn't have any impact on playback though.

Try clearing your Flash Player cache in the Global Settings manager.

Update:

- Tried without firewall, no changes.

- Tried different network, no changes

- When accessing YouTube with HTTPS instead of HTTP, then the video loads fine! But this does not help much since not every site offers HTTPS. This is really weird.

Hi.

I have the same problem  and I have submitted a bug report about this. Like you said videos will only load if https is used. It's filed as Bug #3706080 in Adobe bugbase if anyone is interested.
