Issue - Flash Player shows up as a Black Screen with IE9 32-bit browser on sites such as Youtube.com, but Adobe flash is up to date and the adobe test animation works.

Solution - Internet Options -> Security -> Trusted Sites -> Sites -> (uncheck require HTTPS to add to list) -> Add the website that does has the above problem -> Click OK.

(For extra protection, raise the Trusted Sites security level to Medium-high)

    Does this work for you?

A quick way to see if this will help you :

I was looking for an answer and found this post...

This is Exactly my problem, in Firefox 3.6  ... (the 2nd youtube video doesnt play, the first video plays fine).

The problem only started today.  Yesterday it was all good.  All other flash sites i tried, work fine.

In addition,  i cannot get the "settings" menu when i right click in the flash player on the video that does not play.

The popup menu i get when i right click on the flash object, only contains 2 sub-menues:
    1. "Movie not loaded"   - greyed out

    2. "About Adobe Flash Player 10.3.181.26..."  which takes me to Adobe's site...

But  how do you explain that this problem started today ??

And that the "Settings" menu is missing....  I'm not a noob pc user by any means, but i can't find a reason for the Settings Menu not being present...

I don't have access to the Windows 7 PC which had this problem anymore, and I haven't used Firefox before...

But, if the problem is similar and doesn't go away after a day and after restarting your PC...  Find Firefox's options.

See if there is something that sounds similar to the security tab where I found Trusted Sites and the option to add http://www.youtube.com to my Trusted Sites.  (Which didn't use the IE9 Protected Mode)

If you can't find a solution, post your type of PC (32-bit, 64-bit), Windows version, Firefox version, and Adobe player version... and make sure you are up to date with the latest Flash version and Firefox.  (might not hurt to be up to date with Windows updates too).

Surely someone who knows Firefox might be able to help.  [But at least in the meanwhile, if you add a S to the end of HTTP while on youtube, you should still be able to view all youtube content]

I don't know why it would happen suddenly to you... did anything get updated or changed?

    Good luck!
