Question

movie will not play in a pdf file

I'm using Windows 10 (64 bit).  I cannot play videos/slide shows/movies embedded in PDF files.  (The two pdfs I have were made in 2013). I get a message "To view the Flash technology content in this PDF file, please install the required version of Flash Player." I am opening the pdfs in Adobe Acrobat Reader, not Microsoft Edge.  I have the most recent Windows 10 Flash Player which is part of Chrome.  It is enabled and tests as working.  The version of Flash Player I have is 22.00.0.192.  I read an article in PC Prime saying I need a standalone Flash Player, not the one embedded in Chrome, but I don't really understand what that means or what to do a about it.  I'd appreciate any help anyone has.

You need the NPAPI version of Flash player to play flash content in pdf files if memory serves me correctly

Check out my Guide and there is a link from Adobe for the offline installer for NPAPI version ( for Firefox )

Guide to Manually updating Flash Player

Hope that Helps
