Multiple Sounds Overlapping

I'm making a jumpscare scene, but the sounds in the sounds layer are overlapping, the background music and the jumpscare sound played at the same time. I had the background music sync to "Start" and "Loop" while the jumpscare sound is sync on "Event". I have no idea wether to use codes or no or what codes to put in, pls help.
