My adobe flash update is not working...what can I do

I have installed the updated version as prompted and received confirmation it was installed successfully.  I restarted my computer but the program is not working correctly.  I tried to uninstall and reinstall it and still no response.  I am very frustrated that I can not use or access any of my programs.  What can I do to fix this...my computer meets the requirements needed?
