My computer wants me to install flashplayer but then says it is already there?

When I try to play games I get the message that I need to install flashplayer.  When I try to install flashplayer I get the message saying that Flashplayer is automatically integrated with Windows 8 and it won't let me install.  I have checked to ensure that it is enabled and that Active X is not running.  What do I need to do to get this problem fixed???
