Hi..I am running windows xp pro and

had Adobe which was working fine, then I was told to update and since then no Flash player

all the time. I can view youtube movies, but sites like Kodak Photo and Hallmark and

ebay tell me I need to update my flash player. When I go to control panel it shows that Adobe 10 is installed and windows/system32/macromedia/ also shows that Adobe 10 is installed. I have been trying to solve this problem for a long time. Any help would be appreciated. Thank you

Hi, did you use the Adobe Uninstaller first or just click on the website that advised you to update?

The old version of Flash Player needs to be Uninstalled first before Installing the latest version.

Adobe Uninstaller:http://kb2.adobe.com/cps/141/tn_14157.html  Download and SAVE to your Desktop.

Download and SAVE to your Desktop the FP Installer for IE:

    http://fpdownload.macromedia.com/get/flashplayer/current/install_flash_player_ax.exe

Read over the Uninstall instructions first.

If you have any questions just post back.

    Thanks,

Yes.. I did all of that. I used the uninstaller from Adobe and the Installer

from Adobe and had them both on my desktop. Again....I can use the flash

player on all sites except for Kodak and Hallmark. ...I just give up. Thanks

    for the response.

Hi, ok. Sometimes I don't know if the Uninstaller has been used if it's not stated. Have you checked in your manage add ons to see if Shockwave Flash Object....Flash10e.ocx (vs 10.0.45.2) is listed and Enabled? Sometimes the old .ocx doesn't get removed and the websites will work off the old one and that will cause an issue.

You can also check your Flash files to make sure an old file is not there. C:\Windows\System32\Macromed\Flash. You should have 4 files listed for IE with the vs cited above.

I'll check the two sites you are having a problem with and see what I find.

    Thanks,
