need help downloading the new verison of abode flash player cant do it

Hi my name is LaGretta Harris

I have had my HP for 3 years now My son who is now away at school set up my adobe Flash Player. and It stated that I need to upgrade my system. I am over 50 years old and dont no anything about computers. Iam not able to download the new version now I can not recieve any videos that is being sent to me by family and friends will you please help me

Click on http://get.adobe.com/flashplayer to download Flash Player

UNcheck the box marked "Yes, install Chrome as my default browser...."

(Irritatingly, Adobe insists on checking that optional box by default when it is entirely unnecessary and unwanted by most people who are already using their preferred browser. That forces almost everyone to uncheck the box).

Then click the big yellow Download button.

Then follow the prompts to install Flash Player.

this is Lagretta again I uncheck the box marked yes and that was about Mac fee I didnt see and dont no how to install Chrome as my default browser. I click the downloud button and it said already installed i clicked finish and then a message came up it did not go thur successfully Please help me I have been trying to do this for days HELP ME PLEASE
