When I attempt to watch Youtube videos in 480p, 720p, and 1080p the Video screen freezes but the audio continue to play.

This started to occur when I recently downloaded the most recent update for the Adobe Flash Player. Is this a bug? HELP!

    Hello,

I'm sorry you're running into this problem with HD videos.  I suspect your video card is running into issues with our new Stage Video technology.  Could you try a couple of things for me? First, please try updating your drivers to the latest version (ATI, Intel, NVIDIA). If that doesn't solve the problem, please go to this page and right click on the video.  Select "Settings" and then uncheck Enable Hardware Acceleration.  Restart your browser and try again.  Finally, please try clearing your browser cache/history to if that makes any difference.  We had a bug on this with a very similar description but it was an issue on YouTube's side and they pushed a fix for it out last week.

    Thanks,

    Chris

I have the HP dm4-1063d notebook which has dual graphics. It has the Power saving: Intel Graphics media accelerator HD (icore 5) and High-performance GPU

Radeon HD 5450. HD videos work with the High-performance Graphics but not the powersaving one. Does this mean I need to update both or just one of them?

I attempted to update both of them but ran into trouble finding the right one to download. Everytime I tried, a pop up said this file is not the correct one for this

graphics update. Any suggestions on how to find the correst update???

    Update*

Unchecking the "enable hardware accerleration" worked. What is the job of this application? And will have any effect of the downloading of videos?

I'm guessing you might need to update both drivers, though I'm guessing the ATI driver is more important.  When you unchecked hardware acceleration you are bypassing the Stage Video functionality was was introduced with 10.2.  While the visual output will be the same, Stage Video takes advantage of your video gpu allowing lower CPU usage.

If you end up updating your video card drivers, you might want to try reenabling hardware acceleration to see if works.

    Thanks,

    Chris
