Newest flashplayer in Iceweasel on Debian crashes browser

Is any body else having severe trouble with the latest Flashplayer 11.2.202.554 for Mozilla/Iceweasel-38.4.0 on Debian-15.2 ?

It was working "well enough" with 11.2.202.548, but now the browser crashes consistently when flash content is on a page. When it doesn't immediately crash, like on the adobe-test page, the cloud animation does not show.

Also the standalone program, Projector, does not run at all.

$ ./flashplayer --version

Vector smash protection is enabled.

11,2,202,554

any attempt to load a .swf game locally results in

Illegal instruction

and it crashes out.

What gdb backtrace or library information would be helpful?

$ cat /proc/version

Linux version 3.16.0-4-686-pae (debian-kernel@lists.debian.org) (gcc version 4.8.4 (Debian 4.8.4-1) ) #1 SMP Debian 3.16.7-ckt11-1+deb8u3 (2015-08-04)

glxinfo is long, but the graphic driver is nouveau

yes, just started getting serious issues with vector smash protection enabled...in Chromium, Firefox and Midori.

It is coming from Flashplayer and effectively stopping me from operating in some aspects.  One is when accessing digitalsignage.com, which is heavily flash based.  When trying to preview or play any video/presentation or whatever.....just a black screen and eventually flashplayer crashes (get the message)  and in addition may lock up the browser (mainly firefox).

Its a royal pain is this vector smash protection  - TURN IT OFF ADOBE!!!!!  or tell us what it does, why it does it and how to fix it please.
