Question

No audio in Embedded Videos

Since I upgraded to Windows 10 I get no audio in videos such as in Facebook.  This only happens in Internet Explorer, Chrome is fine.  I have made sure that Shockwave is enabled as an add-in and Active X filtering is disabled.  I am using the version of Flash that came with the Windows 10 install: 20.0.0.306.  Any help would be greatly appreciated.

Hi,

Did you check that the videos are playing with Flash player.

Right click on the videos.

Does it show Flash player version?

Thanks

Hi, thanks for the quick reply.  All the facebook videos I checked were 18.0.0.329.

That's a pretty old version of Flash Player.  If your running IE or Edge, you should be getting updates automatically via Windows Update.  Please run Windows Update on your machine.  It should update you to 20.0.0.306.

If you're still having problems after that, do you have sound on YouTube?
