no audio in flash player downloads from youtube

Youtube videos downloaded from internet in windows 8 do not have audio unless the shockwave player add on is disabled. when this is disabled many videos cannot be viewed. is there a solution. problem doesnot seem to exist in windows 7. internet explorer is used on both.

    Flash Player in Win 8 is embedded by Microsoft, and updates/maintained through Microsoft.
